SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipment and Fees

As required by international laws regulating import and export trade, all shipments from LUCIAODESCALCHI.COM/LUCIAODESCALCHI.IT are accompanied by an invoice declaring the exact total value of merchandise purchased in Euro. Sale items will be accompanied by an invoice declaring their discounted value.

For shipments outside the European Union, import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees may be assessed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the purchase price and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

LUCIA ODESCALCHI has no control over such charges and cannot predict their amount. Clients are advised to contact their local customs office for further information prior to placing an order.

Shipment date

Orders with available merchandise are shipped from Rome, Italy, Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CET).

Orders with available merchandise placed after 3:00 p.m. on Friday or during weekends will be processed starting the following Monday.

In all cases, LUCIAODESCALCHI.COM reserves the right to delay shipment if an order cannot be dispatched due to circumstances beyond its control. Please note that during promotions, sales, and national holidays, shipping may be subject to delays.

PRE-ORDER MERCHANDISE: SHIPMENT IS UPON THE ARRIVAL OF THE MERCHANDISE 


Pre-Orders are debited and invoiced the day of Order Placement during regular office hours from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Shipment will occur on the day the merchandise becomes available.

Estimated transit times are as follows:

  • Italy, Europe, USA and Canada: 3–5 working days

  • South America, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Australia and Oceania: 3–7 working days (major cities) / 4–8 working days (remote areas)

LUCIA ODESCALCHI shall not be held responsible for delays caused by weather conditions, customs procedures, or circumstances beyond its control.

Failed Delivery & Non-Cooperation

If a shipment is not successfully delivered due to incorrect address, refusal to pay import duties, absence at delivery, or failure to comply with local import regulations, the parcel may be returned to Italy at the Client’s expense.

Any shipping costs, storage fees, and import duties assessed upon re-entry into Italy will be charged to the Client and deducted from any eventual reimbursement.

Successful Shipment Delivery

Upon delivery of each order, Clients are required to carefully inspect the package before signing for receipt.

If, for any reason, the package appears to have been tampered with, Clients should either sign for the delivery with reservation or refuse the shipment.

If the package has been signed for by an unauthorized person or there is evidence of tampering, Clients must immediately file a claim with the courier and contact LUCIA ODESCALCHI at sales@luciaodescalchi.com.

Shipment Insurance

Shipment insurance against theft and accidental damage can be provided upon Client request at an additional cost. Please contact sales@luciaodescalchi.com to request insurance. Once the shipment reaches its destination, the goods are no longer insured.

Return Policy

If for any reason a Client is not satisfied with an order, the request for return authorization must be submitted within fourteen (14) days from the delivery date. for store credit or refund.

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable under any circumstances: sale or discounted items; custom-made items; made-to-order items; custom-sized items; personalized items; and custom-modified items. This exclusion applies regardless of the reason for return, except where otherwise required by applicable law in cases of verified manufacturing defects.

Returned merchandise must be in original condition, unworn, unused, unaltered, and in perfect resale condition, with all original hangtags, security seals, packaging, and accessories intact.

LUCIA ODESCALCHI reserves the right to refuse any return that does not fully comply with these conditions.

Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the Client, except in cases of verified defective or damaged merchandise.

Original shipping costs, handling fees, customs duties, and import taxes paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

Refunds will be processed only after the returned merchandise has been received, inspected, and approved.

Returned items must be shipped within seven (7) days from the date the return authorization is granted. 

International Returns - Custom Responsability

For returns shipped from countries outside the European Union, the Client is solely responsible for correctly declaring the shipment as “Returned Goods” and for ensuring that the shipment clearly indicates that it is a return and not a new commercial transaction. The declared customs value must accurately reflect the nature of the return in accordance with applicable export regulations.

Any import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, brokerage charges, administrative costs, storage fees, or other charges assessed upon re-entry into Italy are the sole responsibility of the Client.

If such charges are incurred, LUCIA ODESCALCHI reserves the right to deduct the full amount of such charges from the refund or to refuse the shipment, in which case it will be returned to sender at the Client’s expense.

Failure to properly declare a return shipment may result in additional customs charges, penalties, or delays, for which LUCIA ODESCALCHI shall not be held liable.

Defective or Damaged Items

In the unlikely event that a Client receives a defective or damaged item, the Client must notify LUCIA ODESCALCHI within fourteen (14) days of delivery by contacting sales@luciaodescalchi.com and providing the Order Number, Item Code(s), and a detailed description of the issue, including photographic evidence where requested.

Once the defect has been verified, the Client may choose between a replacement (if available) or a refund.

In such cases, LUCIA ODESCALCHI will reimburse the original shipping costs and any documented import duties incurred at the time of delivery. The replacement item, if selected and available, will be shipped at no additional cost to the Client.

This provision applies exclusively to verified manufacturing defects or damage occurring during transit and does not apply to items that show signs of wear, misuse, alteration, or improper handling.

Compensation Options

Clients may choose between the following compensation options:

Store Credit

Store credit may be used once on a future order within six (6) months from the date of issuance. It is not cumulative with other store credits and must be used in its entirety for an order equal to or greater than the value of the issued credit.

Refund

Refunds will be processed once the returned items have been received, inspected, and approved.

For orders paid by credit card, the refunded amount will be credited within approximately ten (10) business days and may appear on the Client’s next billing statement. Processing times may vary depending on the credit card provider.

Orders paid via PayPal will be refunded to the original payment account.

Return Conditions & Authorization

All returns must be previously authorized by LUCIA ODESCALCHI. Clients must contact sales@luciaodescalchi.com and receive written return authorization before shipping any item back.

Returned items must comply fully with the conditions outlined in the Return Policy. Items that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at the Client’s expense.

In the case of defective or incorrect merchandise, LUCIA ODESCALCHI reserves the right to request photographic evidence before authorizing a return and before approving reimbursement of shipping and import fees.

All authorized return shipments arranged using LUCIA ODESCALCHI courier account numbers must originate from the same country as the original delivery.

LUCIA ODESCALCHI reserves the right to refuse unauthorized returns or returns not shipped according to the provided instructions. If an unauthorized return is exceptionally accepted, a 10% administrative/re-stocking fee may be deducted from the refund.

LUCIA ODESCALCHI is unable to offer refunds or exchanges on Lucia Odescalchi items that have been purchased on other websites or from other retailers.

LUCIA ODESCALCHI reserves the right to amend or update these ‘Terms of Service’ & ‘Shipping and Returns’ at any time. Any changes will become effective from the date of publication on the website and will apply to orders placed after such date. Clients are encouraged to review these ‘Terms of Service’ & ‘Shipping and Returns’ periodically.
